Trixie

Trixie!  She's about 19 inches tall, made of minky, machine embroidered eyes and cutie marks (e the pony's embroidery files, as usual), and satin linings in the cape and hat.  The hat is big enough for a person to wear.  The jewel is polymer clay, acrylic paint, and glitter. It has a pin back, so it can be worn separately.  The cape has hook-and-eye closures so it will stay on without the jewel. 

Updated pictures!  I hope these look better. This shade of purple minky (jewel) is very hard to photograph.  It tends to come out looking more gray than it really is.  It's not a super vivid purple, but it's a bit more purple than the pictures show, I think.

This is the first time I've used armature wire in a pony's legs.  I'm not sure why I haven't done this before, because I think it makes it look much better.  I don't have to stuff the legs like crazy in order to support the weight of the body and head, and it's somewhat pose-able. I guess I was afraid of wires poking out or breaking or something, but there's really no way for that to happen under normal use, I don't think.  I curled the ends so they aren't poke-y, and it's all encased in stuffing, plus it's in a fabric sleeve inside the stuffing. 

Ummm...oh yeah--the hat and cape.  I decided to attach the stars and dots with Wonder Under (heavy duty).  Since it shouldn't see a whole lot of use/wear, I decided to forego sewing them down as well.  That would have added several hours to the time it took me, and I actually like the look of it as it is.
